Primera Dia

I am here yay! The plane ride was not bad at all, we got stuck just sitting on the runway for an additional hour once we landed but 6 hours feels like nothing compared to 13 from last summer. My host parents, picked me up at the airport and we hopped in a taxi and came to their lovely home. I met Maria, my sister who speaks english! And then I went to bed. I have my own room, tv and bathroom which is so nice, as well as a big closet and drawers. This morning I woke up, ate some cafe con leche y pan and walked with my mother, Maria to meet the rest of the students for the city tour. We went to the Old Town and walked around and saw four beautiful cathedrals. We also took a bus up to the highest point in Quito, The Virgin of Quito monument and saw the entire city, it was mas bonita! It has been so funny to hear about everyones host family experiences this far, I think we are all loving it! Now I am recovering and waiting until we eat dinner! We have orientation tomorrow at the University of San Fransisco Quito! I'm afraid I have forgotten my usb cord so I may not be able to upload pictures! I will try to get that fixed. Yo amo Ecuador!
